MEGA SHARK VS. CROCOSAURUS

The top scan is on the DVD box, so the bottom scan must be a movie poster of sorts. Anyone see this in a theater? Yeah, me neither.

Christopher Douglas-Olen Ray (son of Fred Olen Ray) directs this epic which features Jaleel White (Urkel from “Family Matters”) in the first adult role I’ve seen him play. This young man sure buffed up and for the first time, is not on my TV speaking in a voice that sounds like rusted roller skate wheels.

In reference to which one is more tough, the Crocosaurus just eats people whereas Mega Shark (Meglodon) eats an entire submarine. You would think that a shark that can down a submarine would be able to chomp a Crocosaurus in half, but alas, the movie would end too quickly if that were so.

Two males leads here – one being White’s character, the other being a less likeable Australian game hunter. The hunter manages to “tranq” the giant Croc before being chewed and swallowed (this after the Croc munches down the game hunter’s attractive employer).

Not much to get excited about here except for the novelty of larger than life monsters. At least there’s not a negative ending for this one.
