Not sure what to think of this one. The first mistake they made was getting a hulking actor to play Ed Gein. In real life, Ed was slight of stature and on the surface did not present a physical threat to anyone. The actor who plays Ed, Kane Hodder, is the complete opposite, so right off the bat the film doesn’t work for me.
I think they got Hodder on board this movie was so that they could exploit the fact that he was the man behind Jason’s mask in several of the FRIDAY THE 13TH chapters.
I’d stay FAR away from this one; to add insult to injury, this telling of the story isn’t particularly accurate.
Steve Railsback did a much better film on Ed Gein called, oddly enough, ED GEIN. Will review this one later.
