One of my favorite books as kid. The grade school teacher wouldn’t read it to us because she felt it might be upsetting to some of the kids.
This is about “true” odd happenings, such hitch-hiking ghost and a wrestling match between the Devil and a preacher. The Devil gets thrown and leaves a cloven hoof print on a flat bed of rock which supposedly can still be see today (or when the book was actually written).
