Director Mark Carlucci takes us to key sites where the movie was filmed, including a small soundstage studio in Los Angeles which Ed had used for some of the indoor shooting. The studio was located especially for this documentary. Conrad Brooks takes us on a tour there.
Lots of guest star appearances in THE PLAN 9 COMPANION, including Gregory Walcott, Vampira, Paul Marco. One especially funny moment in the documentary is when Sam Raimi and a friend recreate Tor Johnson’s appearance on Groucho Marx’s YOU BET YOUR LIFE program. Harry Medved, co-author of THE GOLDEN TURKEY AWARDS, is interviewed as well.

Sadly, I was told that Mark Carlucci, who suffered from depression, took his own life some years after completing this documentary.
